John J. (Jack) Dardis was named honorary alum of St. Mary’s Dominican High School during May Crowning and Academic Honor Day. Dardis, who founded the school’s Parents’ Annual Giving in the 1980s, served on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee. His seven daughters are Dominican alumnae, their graduation years spanning from 1986 to 2001.
School president Dr. Cynthia A. Thomas saluted the honoree as, “One of the people who has guided Dominican to help our school remain financially stable, viable and well-positioned for the future.”
Dardis and his wife Anne, are the parents of ten children. Jim Ryder, the first named honorary alum, presented Dardis with a commemorative sweat shirt.
