Five St. Mary’s Dominican High School’s student-athletes have signed college scholarships, marking the first of this many signings at the school in the past decade.
Emily Adams
- signed a basketball scholarship with Millsaps College
- selected to the Clarion Herald’s 2019-2020 Elite Girls Basketball Team
- named to the 2019 First Team All-District Team
Stella French
- accepted a soccer scholarship to Mississippi College
- five-year member of Dominican’s soccer program
- team captain since her junior year.
- last season she had 212 goals and 15 assists
- selected to the Louisiana High School Soccer Coaches’ Association Division-I All-State First Team (2019-2020)
Claire Sekinger
- signed a softball scholarship with Southeastern Florida University
- member of the 2017 and 2018 State Runner-Up Teams
- member of the 2019 State Championship Team
- Dominican’s 2020 softball season was curtailed due to the pandemic
Elise Simon
- signed to join the softball team at Spring Hill College
- member of the 2017 and 2018 State Runner-Up Teams
- member of the 2019 State Championship Team
- The pandemic curtailed Dominican’s 2020 softball season
Kate Thomson
- signed to play soccer at Sewanee
- a five-year-member of Dominican’s soccer program
- captain of Dominican’s soccer team since her junior year
- last season anchored a defense that recorded 17 shutouts
